The guest suite is essentially a separate unit attached to the host residence. Created from the old saw miller’s cottage which has been renovated with comfort & luxury in mind, the suite is an intimate haven for just one couple.  The lounge enjoys the warmth of a wonderful open fire set in a massive brick fireplace. The original native timber ceiling adds to the ambience of the private guest lounge and dining area. Furnished and decorated with art and antiques those with an eye for detail will appreciate the thought that has gone into creating this retreat.

The lounge and bedroom open onto verandas and deck and have fabulous views of Akaroa Harbour and surrounding bush. The bathroom has shutters which open for a view across the bedroom to the harbour. A private guest car park and access add to the privacy. The pantry has an original mud wall about 30cm thick separating it from the guest ensuite. Sue & Richard access the suite, at times to suit you, via the pantry. They are always available for a chat or to share a drink or leave you to enjoy your private space at your leisure. All meal times are by arrangement.
