From a 30 minute overview of the town with photo stops to full day excursions to Canterbury it’s the perfect way to appreciate the magnificent beauty of the extinct volcanic crater of Akaroa Harbour.
A Classic Ride above Robinsons Bay Akaroa
Take it easy with this classic Honda Goldwing & a fully registered driver licensed to thrill!! It’s a brilliant way to see Akaroa & beyond with a blast around the crater rim. Or if the slower pace is more your style let Richard know & he’ll drop it down a gear. The tour can take 2-3 people with the sidecar being wide enough for one larger person or two small-medium people plus one pillion. Helmets with disposable hair protectors are provided. We also have some jackets, scarves & an all over suit for any pillion passenger who wants some extra protection.
A Classic Ride Honda Goldwing & Sidecar Tours operates 7 days per week from 9am-8pm. On the days cruise ships are in Akaroa Harbour you can find Richard at the taxi stand on Beach Rd beside the Akaroa Village Inn, opposite the end of the Main Wharf, Akaroa. Trips range from a 30 minute overview of Akaroa from Lighthouse Rd, Onuku Marae & the Brittomart Monument to 1 hr+ via the Summit Rd with views to the Pacific Ocean & Southern Alps.
Priced from $85NZ inc gst for 2 people for 30 mins, $140 for 60 mins. Longer tours on request. Payments can be made in cash in $NZ, $AU, $US, Euro or GBP, via credit card for pre booking or at the Akaroa Visitor Centre (on the Main Wharf) Depending on the fit in the sidecar 3 people may be possible. p.o.a.
